After 20 years, Jason Groseclose Memorial Basketball Tournament comes to an end
It is a bittersweet time of the year for us as we say good-bye to this event. We will miss the players, fans and the friendships that have been made. A total of $47,072.00 has been given over the past 20 years for North Star academic scholarships, athletic scholarships, school organizations & school projects.
Thank you to all who contributed in any way at the Jason Groseclose Memorial Basketball Tournament over the last 20 years.
We want to thank the sponsors of the teams, the businesses that made donations and the friends that contributed. We were fortunate to have numerous volunteers, the referees that donated their time and talents, the people that kept the clock & kept the scorebook, concession workers, clean-up crew & the North Star Schools for letting us host this Tourney. Thanks everyone for your contributions. Thank you players, win or lose, you always came back. A big thanks to the local pubs, Spencers Hi-Way Bar and Grill & K-Lines that hosted the festivities after the games and donated food and refreshments.
We appreciate all the time Pat Foster Jr. spent organizing this tourney and kept it going all these years. Bob Evans and the crew at Master Sports donate t-shirts every year and design the logos. We appreciate all they do.
It takes a great effort to pull off an activity of this magnitude and we appreciate all the time and energy that the workers put in—from the bottom of our hearts—thank you. Your generosity will never be forgotten. We were humbled by the ongoing support to keep Jason’s memory alive.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks for a job well done,
The Groseclose FamilyPosted: by OverlieP
