Candidate for CJI School Board, Jeffrey Mattson
Reason for seeking re-election to CJI school board: I am passionate about the education of our kids. I feel that CJI offers a very unique mix of the small town, close knit attitude, with a “sky’s the limit” perspective when it comes to what we feel our students can achieve. As a board member you get to dig into the laws and policies that dictate the quality education provided in Montana. It is not, and has not always been easy, but I feel our staff is top notch, our board is dedicated and driven to improve, and improve is what we will do.
The educational system at CJI and all other schools is an ever changing balance of needs versus wants, income versus expense, and the use of all information to drive our students forward with a curriculum that puts them in the driver’s seat.
I have been proud of what the CJI school board has accomplished, how they have handled difficult situations, and how they keep coming back to the “table” prepared to better themselves and CJI. I would appreciate the opportunity to continue serving the CJI District and its constituents. I would appreciate your vote.
