Lillie Jane (Borkse) Fritz, 92, passed away peacefully at Wheat Country Estates in Chester, MT with family by her side on March 13, 2016.
Lillie was the seventh child born to Peter and Susan Borske in Alvin, WI on January 14, 1924. At the age of sixteen, Lillie moved north of Lothair, MT to work for her Aunt and Uncle. There she met a young neighbor, Leonard Fritz. They were married on March 1, 1941. They had two children, Errol and Loretta. Many dear friendships resulted from their involvement in farming, ranching and their registered Hereford business. They lived and worked together on the family homestead for years, where Lillie enjoyed her role as a homemaker. She especially enjoyed huge family dinners, gardening, quilting, fishing and playing cards with friends and family. Lillie was involved in many community groups, including the Red Hat Society, Parish Council of Catholic Women, Cowbells, 4-H and was an enthusiastic member of Fitness Xpress.
Her Catholic faith was very important to her and she maintained a strong faith in God throughout her life. Lillie was a caring, gentle woman. She was the little lady with the huge heart that was an example to many with her kindness, guidance and generosity.
Lillie was preceded in death, not only by her husband, Leonard, but six elder siblings and one grandson, Bret Aklestad.
She is survived by brother Clarence (Opal) Borske of Great Falls, MT, son Errol Fritz of Chester, MT, daughter Loretta (Lyle) Aklestad of Big Fork, MT, grandchildren: Carrie (Jim) Reynolds of Helena, MT, Debra (Michael) Ianniello of Pembroke Pines, FL, Joe (Heidi) Fritz of Brady, MT, Jim (Dena) Fritz of Chester, MT and Connie (Powell) Becker of Stanford, MT, thirteen great grandchildren: Jane, Michael, Eric, Jake, Justin, Nicole, Jack, Isabel, Garrett, Ace, Axel, Briella and Blaze, as well as many nieces and nephews.
