The Way I See It – Loss of Lauryn Goldhahn still being felt; and for goodness sake BUCKLE-UP!
The gym in Fairfield was packed Wednesday; not for a ball game or a school assembly but to bring together all the people wanting to say good-bye to Lauryn Goldhahn and to support her family in this time of great grief. One message the Goldhahn family sent out to everyone strongly – BUCKLE-UP!!
Lauryn died as a result of injuries sustain when she was thrown from the vehicle during a roll-over accident. Had she been buckled in she would likely still be with us. The family noted that they did teach their kids to use their seat belt and why Lauryn wasn’t wearing hers on this day no one knows for sure. The driver of the vehicle was belted in and suffered a broken bone but no other serious injuries.
The service for Lauryn was filled with stories of a young girl who loved life and lived it as a happy, generous, sometimes feisty and always caring person. I left the service knowing one thing for certain; this is one young lady who will not be soon forgotten by anyone who knew her.
It was a sad time, but the memories were good ones to take away as I left the gym.

I try hard to properly vet things I comment on. That can take a lot of time with some issues. I have pretty much stayed away from the Hillary Clinton e-mail issue because there is a lot of perception mixed in with the truth on this front. Here are a few facts that have emerged recently which I am pretty sure are well enough vetted to be brought forward.
Fact: Mrs. Clinton said she had given all pertinent e-mails to the Benghazi committee.
Fact Check: Not even close. The FBI was able to uncover numerous e-mails regarding the incident she did not turn over to the committee.
Conclusion: Oversight is possible as the number of e-mails was copious; however Mrs. Clinton stated with irrevocable certainty that all e-mails were turned over, making her statement a falsehood even if her intention was good.
Fact: Mrs. Clinton said she did not use her personal server for classified e-mails; again making an irrevocable statement of certainty of such.
Fact Check: HUH!!! The number of e-mails found that were, or should have been, classified, some even at the highest levels of classification, were numerous. It wasn’t one or two or even ten or 20. In fact, the FBI isn’t certain they’ve found them all. The number sits, presently, at 2093. Mrs. Clinton e-mailed 81 classified e-mail chains at least eight of which were classified Top Secret.
Conclusion: No other conclusion can be reached, she flat out lied, both to the American People and to the FBI. Add to that the Congress when she testified on the Benghazi issue.
Perhaps the most interesting, from my point of view, is the fact that the FBI report notes that e-mails were scrubbed from the server right after the private e-mail server scandal broke. This in spite of a preservation order being issued by the Select Committee on Benghazi. I can’t even imagine the number of laws violated by that action. Is it 2, 10, more? I have neither the time nor the desire to look through all the overlaps in federal code that make that a criminal action.
There is so much more, like the withholding of 17,448 e-mails from the state department, at least some of which, according to the FBI, were likely work related. I don’t like this revelation because it is also possible that there were no work related e-mails in the bunch. These kinds of accusations without evidence amount to nothing more than rumors based on a probability of likelihood. While it is likely some work related communications were in there, I have yet to see actual proof that there were any such e-mails.
There are several such accusations out there but I think one example is enough. Really, the facts are bad enough, there is no need to pile on unverified issues that may, or may not, have happened.
So why delve into this at all? For one it is a big story that should be even bigger than it is. Mrs. Clinton is guilty of actions that carry criminal liability, why is she not being charged? On the political front, she is running for President of the United States; complete and total mishandling of materials classified at the highest levels should disqualify her for the job if even one case can be shown. 2093 individual e-mails, 81 classified strings, and 8 classified at the highest level should remove her from any consideration for the highest office in the land.
Donald Trump may be an egotistical, loud-mouthed, insensitive, hot-tempered jerk, be he is certainly more qualified that Hillary Clinton based on just this issue alone. We don’t even have to delve into the Clinton’s past.
The skeletons in that closet are numerous enough raise quite a clatter of their own, should they be disturbed. A whole lot of questions went unanswered 20 years ago – ‘Nuff said!!Posted: by OverlieP
